Thieves Steal Wheels Off Motorbike Parked On Navy Base

A thief who wasn’t afraid of the naval military police stole a pair of wheels and a carburettor off a motorbike which was parked in the garrison car park on a naval base. The car park is a popular place for thieves and the military police have warned people who park there to be very careful.

SATTAHIP – June 26, 2014 [Pattaya Daily News]; at 1.30 p.m. Pol.Capt. Naret Boonthee (inquiry official on duty of Sattahip police station) was notified by a security guard in the garrison of the naval military police, near the entrance to the Royal Thai Marine Corps, Moo 2, Tambon Sattahip, Amphur Sattahip, Chonburi province, that a motorbikes wheels and other parts had been stolen from the car park behind the garrison of the naval military police, so Pol.Capt. Naret together with a detective police team rushed to the scene.


At the incident there were approximately 50 motorbikes and the police found 1racing modified blue Yamaha Fresh motorbike, license number Khor Phor Phor-581 Chonburi, which was parked in the middle of all the other motorbikes and it’s front and back wheel and its carburettor had been stolen. The police took the motorbike to Sattahip police station before contacting the owner to come and collect it.

Upon questioning Petty Officer First Class Theeraphong Suesat told the police that the car park is used by the public when they come to visit their friends and family who are in the navy and also the students from Sing Samut School use the car park so there are lots of people coming and going. Previously there had been lots of motorbikes stolen from the car park and most of the trouble makers were teenagers.


Petty Officer First Class Theeraphong Suesat (the security guard at the garrison point of naval military police) warned people who park their vehicles there to be careful and they must lock their vehicles securely in order to deter thieves.
