Mr. Chaiwuth Yenjaichueay, aged 33, who was the car owner, told the police that he had parked the car and went to eat food at Chok-a-narn boiled rice restaurant but when he came back to his car he found that the car window was broken and his iPhone 4 mobile phone that he left it in the car was missing. Initially, the police inspected the CCTV nearby the restaurant and found that there were 2 thieves walking around looking inside the cars that were parked on the side of road and they took the opportunity when there were not many people about to break into the cars’ to steal the property from inside. From looking at the CCTV footage the police found that the thieves had broken into 2 cars, the other one was the white Toyota Fortuner. However, the police assumed that it might be a gang of thieves that have done this crime before in Pattaya. From inspecting the car, the thieves didn’t hit the car windows but they used an iron bar to pry them because if they hit the car windows, the alarm would go off. Initially, the police made note and recorded it for evidence and will coordinate with the detective police team find the thieves from the pictures in CCTV footage to arrest them to prosecute further according to Thai law.
