Thief Arrested In Sex Negotiation

A man has been arrested by Bangkok police for larceny. The thief came undone when he offered to return the stolen possessions to the victim in return for sex.

BANGKOK – March 11, 2014 [Pattaya Daily News]; at 9.00 p.m. Pol.Col. Chutrakul Yosmadee (Superintendent of Thong Lor police station), Pol.Lt.Col. Wichai Narong (Deputy Superintendent), Pol.Lt.Col. Jak Julkarat (Inspector) and other police arrested Mr. Kitti Sae-Tang, aged 28, and Miss Duangdao Phodech, aged 28 (Mr. Kitti’s girlfriend), in possession of 1 handbag, 3 mobile phones, Methamphetamines weighing 1.1grams, and 1 grey Yamaha Feno motorbike, license number 2 Jor Kor 1859 Bangkok. They were arrested at a rented house with no address in Soi Sukhumvit 22, Khlong Toei Sub-district, Khlong Toei District, Bangkok.

On February 12, 2014 Thong Lor police officers were notified by a woman that she had been the victim of a robbery, as she was walking near the restaurant area on Rama IV Road, Bangkok. Her mobile having been stolen, the victim tried to contact the robber on several occasions, at which point he attempted to negotiate the return of her property for sex.

The lady informed the police, who managed to ascertain the identity of the thief, at which point Mr Kitti and his girlfriend were arrested for handling stolen goods and possession of drugs.

Mr Kitti confessed to having been released from prison at the end of 2013, for stealing property in the Thong Lor area. On his release, he became a motorbike taxi rider, located at the garage for bus no. 205 in the Khlong Toei District. He preyed on single women walking in deserted spots in the area of Bangna, Khlong Tan, Phra Kha Nong and Thong Lor and successfully robbed 6 women. He then sold the goods to buy drugs to feed his habit.

Mr Kitti denied any sexual harassment with previous victims. He was charged by the police for robbery, and he and his girlfriend, Miss Duangdao both charged with possession of drugs. They will be prosecuted further according to Thai law.
