The Liquid Facelift

Hi there, remember me – I wrote about “the lunch time face lift” I had at Jomtien’s Thonglor Clinic a couple of months ago. I promised I’d keep you posted on my subsequent treatments – so here I am again to bring you up to date on my latest procedure. If you didn’t catch the previous article it was an account of the 60-minute feted technique called “Ultra V Lift”. It’s one of the latest state-of-the-art developments which are designed to lift sagging skin without surgery. I was thrilled with the results. However, further improvements are to be expected for up to 2-3 months and even more brilliantly, the end result can last up to 3 years. I also mentioned in that article that this treatment can be complemented with facial fillers which are currently being called “The Liquid Facelift”.

Now we all would like to age gracefully and of course there are many ways you can affect just how gracefully you age. Taking care of your body, exercising and eating healthy foods, drinking plenty of water, applying sunscreen are all a given but even with the most fastidious of regimes the natural cycle of aging occurs. So now we’re all noticing something visibly different with our skin, particularly our faces – yes, we’re noticing lines. This is where the “Liquid Facelift” can come to the rescue. This is the humorous term being used for facial fillers which help to minimize lines, plump the skin and fill deep wrinkles.

First things first, facial fillers are not Botox. Lines around the eyes are often formed from muscle activity and can be treated through the use of Botox. But becoming more and more popular, and in almost as much demand as Botox, are facial fillers. These can soften and sometimes even eliminate unwanted lines, effectively plumping the skin where a line is evident.

So it was a few weeks ago that I found myself again in the relaxed atmosphere of Jomtien’s Thonglor Clinic. The staff here is professional, friendly and knowledgeable and always manages to put me at ease with their practical approach to all the treatments. Firstly an anesthetic cream is applied which completely desensitizes the skin. The filler is then injected into the top layer of the skin to fill out wrinkles and deep lines, usually around the eyebrows, eyes, mouth and forehead. Hand on heart, I didn’t feel a thing! There are many types of facial fillers that work to reduce lines and here at Thonglor Clinic they use only the very best of products. As with most things in life, it’s important to learn as much as you can about facial fillers before making a decision. You want to make the best decision for your skin, and everyone at the clinic wants to help you! Personally I was delighted with the results.
If you want to try a gentle option that will allow you to age gracefully – but still look the best you can then a non-surgical option might be the best route for you. There are a huge number of choices with varying degrees of intensity – and effectiveness. So if you’ve been contemplating refreshing your appearance, without the need for surgery, facial fillers can help to minimize the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles and creases. And that’s a wonderful thing! Simply put, facial fillers can help you age gracefully and look younger… and that’s something we’d all love, isn’t it?
