Thailand Super Series Motor Racing at Bira International Circuit Pattaya

Lots of motorcar racers and film stars where at the Bira International Racing Circuit to attend the opening ceremony of the Thailand Super Series 2014. Part of the opening ceremony the audience were treated to the skill of Mr Sak Nana who is Thailand’s King of drift.

PATTAYA – July 5, 2014 [Pattaya Daily News]; at 12.00 p.m., Mr. Sonthaya Khumpluem (Ex-Minister of Culture) chaired the opening ceremony of Thailand fairway motor racing programme called the “Thailand Super Series 2014” with over 100 racers the mass media from various branches who join the opening ceremony at the Bira International Circuit Pattaya.

The motorsport competition was divided into 5 classes which consisted of Thailand Super Car class (compete for His Royal Highness Crown Prince Maha Vajiralongkorn Trophy) with over 30 racing cars, Thailand Super 2000 class with over 35 racing cars, Thailand Super Pick-up class (compete for His Royal Highness Crown Prince Maha Vajiralongkorn Trophy) with over 25 racing cars, Thailand Super 15000 & Thailand Super Production class with over 40 racing cars and Thailand Super Eco-Car class which is a new racing class in Thailand.

Part of the opening ceremony, Mr. Sak Nana, who is the Thailand’s king of drift showed off his drift skills in front of the on-lookers. Also some lucky people in the audience had the chance to sit in a car with Mr. Sak Nana while he drifted it down the2.4km finishing straight of the Bira International Circuit Pattaya racing field.

The Thailand fairness motor racing programme “Thailand Super Series 2014” is 8 races on 4 different circuits where points will be accumulated to find the champion in each class who will receive a trophy of His Royal Highness Crown Prince Maha Vajiralongkorn. Previously, there was a competition at Sepang International Circuit racing field, Malaysia, which the “Thailand Super Series 2014” motor racing at Pattaya city was the first time the motor racers had competed for points. There will also be a race at the Buriram International Circuit on November 1-2, 2014 before the final race in Bang Saen from December the 10th -14th 2014.
