Thai Woman Murders Her Jealous German Boyfriend

A Thai woman took revenge on her German boyfriend who was jealous and would constantly assault her by stabbing him to death.

PHRA NAKHON SRI AYUTTHAYA – April 14, 2014 [PDN; 12.20 a.m. Pol.Lt. Kosol Phakhaharn (Inspector on duty of Phra Nakhon Sri Ayutthaya police station) was notified that there was a foreign man who had been stabbed to death in a house no. 2/15 Moo 4 Tambon Tha Wasukree, Amphur Phra Nakhon Sri Ayutthaya, Phra Nakhon Sri Ayutthaya Province, so he rushed to inspect the scene together with Pol.Col. Mongkhon Waroonno (Deputy Commander), Pol.Lt.Col. Anake Phongsawat (Deputy Superintendent) and the rescuers of Ayutthaya Ruam Jai Association.

At the crime scene a 2-storied-wooden house at the end of the alley, on the 1st floor the officers found property scattered all over the floor with many empty beer bottles. On the second floor in the bedroom the officers found the body of a foreign man lying on the floor next to the bed. He was identified as Mr Sebastian Kaidiel, aged 30, German nationality, there was a stab wound which was bleeding and next to his body was a 6 inch fruit knife. The murderer was identified as Mrs Thinita Singthanu, aged 45, from house no. 19/13 Moo 3 Tambon Bor Phong, Amphur Nakhon Luang, Phra Nakhon Sri Ayutthaya Province and was the wife of the deceased. After murdering her husband she waited for the police.

Upon questioning Mrs Marayart Nujong, aged 50, who was the elder sister of Mrs. Thinita, told police that Mr Sebastian had been with Mrs Thinita for 2 years and he had rented a house. He would fly back and forth to German 2-3 times a year and Mrs Marayart didn’t know what did he for work. Mr Sebastian had stayed in Thailand for over 1 month and argued with Mrs Thinita because she wanted to open a restaurant in an area where there a lot of foreigners which made Mr Sebastian stressed and angry. Before the murder happen Mrs Thinita called Mrs Marayart and told her that she thinks she is going to be assaulted by Mr Sebastian but when Mrs Marayart arrived at her house she found that Mr Sebastian had been stabbed to death already.

Upon questioning Mrs Thinita, she confessed that the cause of this incident was family problems and Mr Sebastian was always jealous of her, and on Songkran day when she came home from splashing water with her friends she was assaulted by Mr Sebastian. She then decided to take revenge by stabbing him to death after they had been drinking.

Initially, the officers charged Mrs. Thinita with the allegation of malicious murder and then detained her to be prosecuted further according to the Thai law.
