Thai Woman Brutally Stabbed to Death Near Pattaya

The body of a Thai woman has been discovered at a graveyard in Sriracha, the woman had been stabbed repeatedly with a short bladed knife. Fortunately, competent police investigations have led to the successful arrest of the murderer within 24hrs of her death.

Sriracha, the 28th of January 2010 [Pattaya Daily News]: The maintenance man and grave keeper at the Kang-He Graveyard in Bang Phra, Sriracha, reported to police that he had discovered the deceased body of an unknown Thai woman who appeared to have been murder. A team of police and rescue officers proceeded to the scene to investigate further.

 

Police attending the scene discovered that the deceased woman had been stabbed approximately 20 times, with wounds visible on her back, thighs and chest having bled profusely over the surrounding area. Located merely 2 meters from her body was a set of keys, fire-lighter and roughly 2 grams of the class-1 drug, Ya-Ice.

Upon interrogation the grounds keeper revealed that he had arrived for work at around 10:00am, as he does everyday, where he discovered the deceased lying on the ground. He explained that he did not attempt to investigate the situation any further as the woman was quite obviously dead. Police believe that the murder was likely caused over drugs due to the presence of the Ya-Ice. Investigations will continue in an attempt to apprehend the murderer.

On Friday morning police released a statement to the press concerning the successful arrest of the murderer responsible for the death of a Thai woman found in the Kang-He graveyard on Thursday.

 

Sriracha, the 29th of January 2010 [Pattaya Daily News]: At approximately 3:00pm, police Lieutenant General Thanet Pinmuanggnarm (Chon-Buri Police Commisioner) and a team of officers announced the successful apprehension of Mr. Jittiphong Yungyusuk [25] in Bang Phra, Sriracha. Mr. Yungyusuk was responsible for the vicious murder of Miss Suraporn Tharnket [29], the previously unknown woman found dead in the Kang-He graveyard.

Interrogation revealed that Mr. Yungyusuk had engaged Miss Tharnket to procure an amount totalling 4,000 baht worth of Ya-Ice for him. Upon arriving at the Kang-He graveyard, the agreed meeting point, Mr. Yungyusuk explained that the pair had become embroiled in a heated argument over the acquired drugs being fake. Out of rage, he stated that he returned to his motorbike to get the knife, using it to stab Miss Tharnket whilst her back was turned. Mr. Yungyusuk explained that Miss Tharnket continued to fight so he stabbed her several more times before fleeing the scene.

Following Mr. Yungyusuk’s arrest at his residence in Bang Phra, the police team had to provide him with significant protection as the relatives of Miss Tharnket and various locals of the area attempted to exact some form of revenge on their family member and friends’ killer.

Police have subsequently gained possession of the murder weapon; in addition Mr. Yungyusuk has been imprisoned awaiting commencement of further judicial proceedings.
