Thai Sailing Team Aims For Gold In 24th Sea Games

President of Sailing Association of Thailand, in Royal patronage, gave the best wish and moral support to Thai sailing national team before the competition in 24th SEA Games.

On 5 December 2007, Admiral Sathiraphan GeyaNon, President of Sailing Association of Thailand, in Royal patronage, had a meeting with Thai sailing national team, both sailors and substitution, altogether 23 sailors, at Smut Geela building center, Dongtan bay, Sattahip, Chonburi. Admiral Sathiraphan had given a moral support to all sailors for determination to win the games. He stated that we are having the advantage over the games because it is organized in Thailand. In any case of losing the games is inattentiveness and lack of skill.

Besides, luggages, sport gears and equipments would be transferred to Ambassador City hotel, Jomtien, before 6 December, in order to be ready for the opening of Sailing competition on 7 December. The first competition is on 8 December, at 13.00 and carry on until 14 December. The sailing competition will be in front of Ocean Marina Yacht Club, Na-Jomtien, Sattahip.

President of Sailing Association declared that, in this 24th SEA Games for Sailing competition, management committee, team manager, coach and Thai national sailors team are very confident. We are expecting 5 gold medals plus silver and bronze of another 7 medals, in total of 12 medals. In all 12 categories of: Hobie 16, Optimist (boys), Optimist (Girls), Optimist team racing, Super Mod, Farr Platu 25, International 470 (Boys), International 470 (Girls), International 420 (Boys), International 420 (Girls), International Laser and Laser Radial, the sailing team is expecting a medal from all categories.
