Thai Man Caught Red handed Stealing Gold Bracelets In Pattaya

A Thai man was caught in a department store after he tried to rob 2 gold bracelets from a gold shop.

PATTAYA -February 21,2015 [Pattaya Daily News]; at 19.00 pm Pol.Capt.Yongyut Wannua-deputy inspector of Pattaya police station- was notified that some local people had caught a thief who had just snatched a gold bracelet from the Aurora gold shop in the Big C department store in South Pattaya. After notification the police officers immediately rushed to the crime scene.

 

At the crime scene some local people and the security guards had caught a Mr.Mongkol Buapan aged 25 with 2 gold bracelets valued at 115,000 baht. Ms.Nawaphon Polchan aged 22 the employee of the gold shop was the victim. Upon questioning Ms.Nawaphon she revealed that the man pretended to be a customer and he asked her to look at the gold bracelets because he was going to buy one for his girlfriend. Later the man told her that he would go and withdraw the money.

Later the man came back to the shop and he asked her to look at the bracelets again. When he was looking at the bracelets his phone rang, he then snatched the bracelets and fled. She then shouted for help and the security guards and some local people caught him.

 

Mr.Mongkol said that he needed the money to spend on medical cost for his sick mother but the police didn’t trust him and sent him to the police station to be prosecuted for robbery.
