Thai Man Caught Red Handed For Stealing Belongings From Cars

A Thai man caught Red-Handed for stealing belongings in a car, right after he scrambled car remote of the victim’s car.

PATTAYA – February 7,2015 [Pattaya Daily News]; at 08:00 PM Pol. Col. Suktad Pumpanmuang -Superintendent of Pattaya police station – was informed that local people made an arrest of a thief in progress, at the parking lot of Tesco Lotus, North Pattaya. After notification the police officers went quickly to the crime scene.

 

At the crime scene they’ve found local people detained, by making civil arrest, Mr. Kiettisak Petchtiem, aged 33 with a remote control which used to scramble the signal and a notebook of the victim who was a woman. Also the police officers took him to Pattaya police station.

 

Upon questioning the victim, she revealed that she went to the mall to finish her business, but in the moment when she tried to lock the car, the car remote was not working, so she rushed to the key shop which was 10 meters from her car. Also she kept looking at her car all the time, until she saw a man who is taking a notebook from her car, she asked locals to help her to catch the man.

Mr. Kiettisak confessed that he was waiting for the victim in the parking lot then he scrambled the signal of the car remote before he opened her car in order to steal her notebook. Later he tried to escape but he was stopped by local people.

 

Performing vehicle search of the thief, the officers found a lot of belongings that he stole from earlier victims, such as amulets, money, iPad and 10 notebooks, which police confiscated as evidence for further inspection and return to their real owners. Also the officers announced to people who already previously reported about missing/stolen things, that they can come down to Pattaya Police station in order to maybe retrieve some of their belongings.
