Thai Girl Threatens To Jump From A Billboard In Pattaya

A Thai girl climbed up to the top of a billboard and tried to jump down twice with the intention of killing herself. Fortunately, the officers talked with her and she decided to come down.

PATTAYA – January 5,2015 [Pattaya Daily News]; at 21.30pm Pattaya police were notified that a girl had climbed up a billboard and she was trying to jump down, presumably to commit suicide. After notification the police officers were accompanied with Sawang Borriboon rescue team and went to the scene.

 

At the scene was a billboard which was 15 meters high and a girl was stood on it saying that she was going to jump down. Many people had gathered to see what would happen. The officers talked to her for about 30 minutes before she decided to climb down. Later she was identified as Ms.Petlada Lajanpruk aged 37 who had been drinking, she didn’t say why she wanted to commit suicide.

 

Upon questioning the witnesses, they revealed that they saw her walking around the scene a few days ago, it’s expected that she might live near the scene. On the incident day at 21.00 pm, she climbed up the billboard before the officers talked to her after which she got down and fled away. Half an hour later, she came back and climbed the billboard again and bystanders called the officers again.

 

Initially, the officers tried to discuss what was wrong but she refused to say, however the officers calmed the situation down and took her to a nearby accommodation block.
