Thai Burglar Caught Red Handed

A Thai man was caught by Pattaya police after he had burgled a man who was staying in a Pattaya hotel.

PATTAYA – February 24,2016 [PattayaDailyNews]; at 11.00am POl.Col.Suktad Pumpanmuang- superintendent of Pattaya police station-, Pol.Lt.Col.Pawatchai Sudsakorn- deputy superintendent of Pattaya police station- and police officers made the statement after they arrested Mr.Songkiet Boonprasert aged 31 who is a suspect on the charge of burglary. He had stolen a gold necklace, 25,420 baht, 8,200 Yuan, a Samsung cellphone, an iPad mini and a bag.


The police officers were previously notified by Mr.Anupong Arunyikarn aged 60 who is a guide that he had been stolen several items as he was sleeping in a room of Chaiyapruek hotel. Later the police officers went to the scene to inspect and they found out that the CCTV of the hotel recorded the the incident that a Thai man climbed the wall and rushed to the victim’s room. The burglar spent for 15 minutes to commit crime before fleeing away.


Later the police officers shared the identity of the burglar to each team before another team met him walking in Soi Bongkot road in South Pattaya; therefore, the officers inspected him and found the stolen items on him. Upon questioning him he confessed that he is unemployed and he stole these items from the victim’s room. In addition, he had been caught on charge of snatching, arm and receiving stolen things. However, the police officers would prosecute him further.
