Thai and Cambodians Fight

A group of Cambodian construction workers started fighting with a group of Thai construction workers after a drunken argument.

SRIRACHA – August 12,2015 [PattayaDailyNews]; the police of Sri Racha were notified that there was a fight involving Thai and Cambodian workers in a camp at Moo 2 Soi Khao Ya Mo, Tambon Surasak, Amphur Sri Racha, Chon Buri so the police rushed to the scene.

 

At scene, the officers found 2 groups of approximately 20 Thai and Cambodian construction workers who were arguing with each other therefore the police intervened and separated them. There were 2 injured Thai victims who were identified as Mr. Sathit Singto, aged 22, he had been cut across his chest and was severely injured, and Mr. Praiwan Thamprakhon, aged 43, who was a volunteer police officer for Si Racha police he had sustained an injury to his left hand after trying to break up the argument. The other injured person victim was a Cambodian male and he had been cut across the face.

 

The rescuers sent the 3 injured victims to Somdej Phra Borom Ratchathewi Hospital at Amphur Si Racha.

Mr. Phakorn Chaisri, who was a friend of Mr. Sathit said that he and Mr. Sathit were sat drinking together next to the group of Mr. Sol and his friends. After when Mr. Sol was drunk he started arguing with his Cambodian co worker and Mr. Sathit tried to intervene which made Mr. Sol very angry to which he picked up a beer bottle and smashed it on the table. Mr. Phakorn and Mr. Sathit then decided to leave the camp but Mr. Sol and his friends stopped them and the 2 groups of Thai and Cambodian construction workers started fighting.

 

The police soon arrested Mr. Sol Wuth who was sent to the police station to be questioned before prosecuting him according to the Thai law.
