The airline will start operating at Don Mueang on Oct 1. The online ticketing system of flights from and to its Bangkok hub – reservations, itinerary changes, online check-in — are to be halted from 10pm Friday night (July 27 through 10pm Sunday July 29, Bangkok time), according to Thai AirAsia Chief Executive Officer Tassapon Bijleveld.

Flight details will be changed in the data base system from ‘BKK’ to ‘DMK’, he said, while noting passengers flying prior to Oct 1, and to and from other routes such as Chiang Mai and Phuket will not be affected.

After the data base update is complete, passengers having booked their seats with Thai AirAsia to fly from Oct 1 will receive their new travel itineraries confirmation via email. Those having already checked in for their Bangkok routes on and after Oct 1 must redo the process.

Passengers in need of urgent itinerary changes during the system changes can contact the company via its Live Chat or eForm, stating reservation numbers and flight details.

The company’s system changes status will be updated on its website, AskAirAsia.com.
