Teenager Hit By Motorcycle In Front of Pattaya City Police Station

A 17-year-old male teenager who was detained by police to inspect his urine which he passed, walked out of the police station crossed the road and was hit by a motorcycle which was travelling at high speed severely injuring him.

PATTAYA – July 11, 2014 [Pattaya Daily News]; at 6.00 a.m., Pol.Lt. Jakkrit Jantakham (inquiry official on duty of Pattaya city police station, Chonburi province) together with the rescuers of Sawang Boriboon Tharmma Satharn Foundation, Pattaya city) rushed to inspect an accident involving a motorbike which had collided with a pedestrian. The accident happened in front of Pattaya city police station, at the beginning of Soi 9, Pattaya beach road, Moo 9 Tambon Nong Prue, Amphur Banglamung, Chonburi province.

 

At the incident the officers found Mr Noppharat or Ball Chueanopphakhun, aged 17, lying in the middle of the road in a pool of blood and was severely injured. Therefore, the rescuers performed the first aid on him before sending him to Banglamung hospital.

The motorbike rider was identified as Mr. Charnchai Jaiklang, aged 26, a hotel clerk who had collided with Mr Noppharat which caused him to slid along the road for over 50 meters. Mr Charnchai (the motorbike rider) seemed to be drunk and didn’t want to go to hospital because he only had a few scratches so the rescuers performed first aid on him before he was detained by the police. He was then taken to perform an Alcohol Breath Test at Pattaya city police station and to be prosecuted according to the Thai law.

 

Upon investigating Mr. A (alias), aged 17, he said that Mr. Noppharat or Ball is his close friend, which before incident occurred he and Mr. Noppharat and another friend were walking towards Walking Street, south Pattaya, when the police asked them to take a urine drug test which they consented to and passed. They then came out of the police station and walked across the road when a bike being ridden at a very high speed collided with Mr Noppharat severely injuring him.
