Teenage Snatching Gang Arrested In Pattaya

Police officers have made a statement about the arrest of a teenage snatching gang in Pattaya.

PATTAYA- January 24, 2014 [Pattaya Daily News]; at 10.00 am Pol.Maj.Gen.Nitipong Niemnoi-commander of Chonburi-, Pol.Col.Pratchaya Prasarnsuk-deputy commander-, Pol.Col.Chanapat Nawaluk-superintendent of Bang Lamung police station-, Pol.Col.Chatchapol Pattarasiriphon-inspector-, Pol.Lt.Col.Thanaseth Prachachaisi-deputy insepctor- and police officers had together made a statement about the arrest of  Mr.Saifah Harinsai aged 21, Mr.peerapong Saeeung aged 19 and other 2 teenagers who were a snatching gang. Also, they were arrested with 3  pistols and 11 bullets.


Pol.Maj.Gen.Nitipong revealed that he was ordered by Pol.Lt.Gen.Thanet Pinmuangngam-police commander- to hunt for the snatching gang that stole belongings from victims in Pattaya and the nearby areas. Later he ordered the officers in every police station in Chonburi to hunt for them  before officers from Bang Lamung police station arrested them.


Upon questioning them they confessed that they had snatched from both Thais and foreigners many times. They had snatched in the area of Pattaya police station once, twice in the area of Nong Kham police station, 4 times in the area of Bo win police station and 5 times in the area of Nong Prue police station. They shared the money with each other and spent it on  drugs and hanging out.


However, the police officers would like to warn  people to take care of their belongings when walking or riding around town. Also, the officers aimed to patrol around the high risk areas and the officers also informed the gold and pawn shops that they shouldn’t buy or pawn gold from any suspicious looking people said Pol.Maj.Gen.Nitipong.
