Teacher and Student Shot After Beeping Horn On Pattaya Road

A teacher and student have been shot after they had beeped their horn at a car that cut in front of them. The gunman scolded them before deciding to shoot them.

PATTAYA – August 18, 2014 [Pattaya Daily News];- at 19.00 pm [Pattaya Daily News]; Pol.Col.Thammanoon Munkong-superintendent of Bang Lamung police station- was notified from Bangkok Pattaya hospital that there were 2 injured who had been shot in front of a bistro at the beginning of Soi Potisarn alley, Na Klua (district near Pattaya) and the victims had been sent to hospital. After notification the officers rushed to the hospital.


At the hospital the police officers found a Ford Ranger truck which had been shot by a shotgun. The victims were identified as Mr.Saroj Boonmuang a 27 year old marching band teacher who had been shot in his head and Ms,Amita Klaidang aged 19 a student who had been cut from the flying glass.

Upon questioning a Ms Pantira Chanasupprapa aged 28 she told police that she had had just left school when a car cut in front of Mr.Saroj who beep his horn at them twice. Soon after the window of the car opened and the driver scolded the other but they didn’t care until they reached the scene where driver decided to shoot them.


Initially the police went to inspect the scene and questioned the witnesses but the witnesses had no idea that there was a shooting. However the police officers had collected CCTV in order to hunt for the gunman.
