Taxi Motorcyclist Kills Friend in Drunken Argument

A motorbike taxi driver established a drinking group with his friends. While drinking, an argument started resulting in his friend attacking him with an axe and stabbing him with a knife: His friend did not survive his wounds.

Pattaya, 28 January 2011 [Pattaya Daily News]: At 01.30 a.m. Police General Kriangkraiwuti Buagla, investigating official Police Station Pattaya, was notified about a fight involving knives resulting in serious injuries. The incident occurred at the motorbike taxi assembling point at the junction of Soi 5 Pattaya, Second Rd Pattaya Moo 9 Nongphrue Banglamung Chonburi. Officers attended the scene immediately.

At the crime scene, the assembling point of the motorbike taxis, was a wooden carriage built up for the group to drink in. Shattered pieces of beer bottle glass and blood stains were all over the floor. An axe, which was impounded as evidence, was also found near the crime scene. A villager informed the police that the injured member of the group of motorbike taxi drivers, had already been sent to Banglamung hospital by his friends. The police therefore further proceeded at the hospital and were able to identify the injured man as Mr. Anon Lungketkarn 43, residing at 120 Moo 2 Namlop Laansak Uthaithani, occupied as motorbike taxi driver No.7, operating from the point of the crime scene. Mr. Anon had been stabbed twice on the left side of his back, once in his left arm and once in his right leg. The nurses had been trying to treat Mr. Anon to prolong his life. He had however already lost a lot of blood, and received injuries to his vital organs. He could not endure the pain and died moment later.

Mr. Somkit Naikitjan 37, residing at 284 Moo 5 Nongphrue Banglamung Chonburi , head of the motorcycle taxis , said that prior to the incident, earlier in the evening, he , Mr, Anon and their fellow motorcycle colleagues and friends had started to drink on a wooden carriage which was put at their motorbike assembling point, along with Mr. Dong, a friend of the group, who is a technician for putting up advertisement signs. Altogether there were 4 in the group. After they had gotten drunk one of them went home so only Mr. Somkit, Mr Anon and Mr. Dong were left. Dong who was extremely drunk had started talking as if he were looking for trouble with his friends and began bragging of what a big gangster he was and that he had just left prison, Mr. Anon was not happy with Mr Dong’s behaviour which led to his speaking up to him, resulting in a fight. Mr. Somkit tried to separate the two, and eventually Mr. Dong left on his white Fino motorbike. Ten minutes later, however, Mr. Dong returned on his motorbike, this time with a girl sitting behind him. He climbed off the motorbike and had a big axe in his hand with which he immediately started attacking Mr. Anon. Mr. Somkit tried to removed the axe from Mr. Dong’s hand, and he was able to grab it successfully. Mr. Dong however then pulled out a sharp knife from his pocket and started stabbing Mr. Anon until he was bleeding severely. He then rode off on his motorbike. Immediately fter the incident, Mr. Somkit took Mr. Anon to Banglamung hospital by baht bus.

The police conclude that Mr. Dong (real name : Danai Krianmarerng) 25, residing at 37, Moo 3 Nongrawiang Mueang Nakhorn Rachasima, was drunk and got extremely angry which caused him to attack Mr. Anon, leading to his death. The police will proceed further according to the law.
