Suspected Murder after Skeleton Found

A skeleton of a man has been found in a swamp by fisher men. Police believe he was murdered before being dumped in the swamp.

PATTAYA-31st July- [PattayaDailyNews] at 23.00 pm Pol.Lt.Atsawin Chanto- inspector of Pattaya police station- was notified that a murdered man had been found in a swamp. After notification the police officers rushed to the scene.


At the crime the officers found a skeleton which they believed to be male. It’s expected that he had been dead for about 1 month. Also the police found an old oil barrel which was burnt, an empty packet of cigarettes, car parts, many pieces of clothes, empty bottle of coffee and an empty bottle of energy drink. Therefore, the police collected them for evidence.

Upon questioning Mr Weerachon Charoenkham aged 53 who is a duck farmer he told police that a man said to him that that he had found a skeleton in the swamp and he should go and check it out. Mr Weerachon asked him what had happened, he told him that he and his friend were fishing when they spotted bubbles coming up, when they got closer they noticed a metal bar so they pulled on it and the skeleton appeared because it was tied to it with wire.


The police officers expected that the dead man may have been murdered by 2 or more men and the body was dumped in the swamp. However, the police don’t know the identity of the dead man and need to wait for autopsy results before investigating the case further.
