Summit Employee Trapped In His Car

A 35-year-old Summit Harness employee was trapped in the car after his speeding vehicle collided into a stationary truck at a red traffic light

Pattaya, 18th April 2011 [Pattaya Daily News]: At 00.30 a.m. Police Lieutenant Songkram Pan-eiam, Inspecting Officer of Pattaya Police Department was informed of a car accident occurring at the red light of Road No.7, Junction 5, Moo.6, Naklua, Banglamung, Chonburi. The police and Sawang Somboon paramedics rushed to the scene.

At the scene, a collision had occurred between a green Mitzubishi car (register number plate Por Tor 1993, Bangkok) and a white Heno truck (number plate 78-1606, Bangkok).

The driver, Mr. Chaimongkon Intaratap, 35, was found trapped inside the car. The paramedics rescued him out of the vehicle and immediately took him to Bangkok-Pattaya Hospital.

The severely injured driver was identified as the employee of Thai Summit Harness Public Company.
The truck driver, Mr. Pairat Sarnpila, 27, reported that when his truck had stopped at the red light, Mr. Pairat noticed a car heading directly towards the truck at an uncontrollable speed.

The police also found a 50-metre skid mark on the road.
