Suffocated Iranian Coral Watcher Does Not Survive

On August 29th,2008, at 2pm, Sawang Boriboon rescue rushed to Bali Hai pier, after being notified by Pattaya sea rescue that a foreigner had been suffocated in the sea on Koh Sark Island, and the victim had already been taken to the pier.

Arriving at Bali Hai pier, South Pattaya, sea rescue and divers had been helping to pump the victim’s heart. Sawang Boriboon rescue immediately took the sufferer to Pattaya Memorial hospital.

The sufferer, Mr. Ali (30), from Iran, had come for a diving to watch corals on Koh Sark Island with Mr. Arash Kherzrian (38), and others 4 friends. During watching the corals in the sea, Mr. Ali was suffocated and was helped by Mr. Kherzrian and other friends to bring him up on the speed boat, to take him to Bali Hai pier.

Doctor from Pattaya Memorial attempted to save Mr. Ali’s life, but unfortunately failed. His brain had been lack of oxygen too long as the distance from Koh Sark Island to the pier and the hospital took longer than 20 minutes.

Pattaya Memorial hospital would hand over the body to forensic laboratory to be examined and contact his relatives to perform religious ritual accordingly.
