Sufficient Water SupplyPattaya Water Works insisted that Pattaya will not suffered from insufficient water in 2015 due to the demand of water is on the increase every day.
PATTAYA – Recently Mr.Boonsom Yuthipinyo-director of the Water work authority- revealed that the amount of water in Pattaya is sufficient for this year, although the overall situation in the country is at risk. Pattaya has 5 reservoirs which contained 39.91 million m3 of water.
Man Prachan reservoir has 4.2 million m3 and Chaknok reservoir has 1.33 million m3 of water.
In addition, other reservoirs in nearby district in Rayong and Chanthaburi provinces are able to support water to Pattaya city until October. The weather forecast predicted that there will be too much rain during the rainy season.
However, Bang Phra and Nong Kho reservoirs will also supply water to Pattaya but the problem is the level of water in these reservoirs is lower than expected.
Mr.Boonsom revealed that the water is insufficient because the consumption is always on the increase. Also they needed to construct more reservoirs in order to store more water.
