Successful Sting in Sattahip Nets Major Drug Dealer

Sattahip officials, acting on information received, set up a sting operation and have arrested a major drug agent, known as Ai Kong, who distributes directly from Bangkok, selling drugs in the area of Sattahip.

Investigators in Sattahip, following the trail of Ai Kong, a drug dealer in Sattahip, infamous for distributing directly from Bangkok to groups of teenagers in Sattahip, successfully caught him him in the act, leaving him to confess that he was earning money to pay off old debts of football bets and drugs.

Sattahip, 28 January 2011 [Pattaya Daily News]: At 15.00 a.m., Police General Somchai Suntawonik, Police Station Sattahip, along with Police Lieutenant Siamrat Rungruean, Police General Barut Samarot, and official Vinanya Naktam, and Vitaya Sanamchai and the head official of the investigation troop, cooperated in the arrest of Mr. Chatrotnai Huadjueng (a.k.a Kong ) 20, in the house 112/21 in the village called ‘Navy House’ 16, Moo 4 Sattahip. Charged with the possession and distribution of the class 1 drug known as Yaba. He was caught in the act of selling 194 pills at a price of 26,000 baht.

Police Major Barut Samarot said that the arrest of this agent was made possible following the previous arrest of a buyer from whom they had received several pieces of information leading to this agent. The officials to laid out a plan and ordered 200 pills of Yaba from this agent. They organized an exchange spot and had the 26,000 Baht prepared for the exchange. After the exchange had taken place, the police showed themselves and arrested the agent Kong, and impounded only 194 pills (instead of 200), together with the money 26,000 Baht. With the arrest of Kong, the police have received clues to a major agent in Bangkok from whom Kong is supplied. The officials have sent a list of names to be checked in order to plan the arrest.

Mr. Chatrotnai (or Kong) confessed that he had hired a pick-up truck driver at a price of 2,200 Baht to pick up the 200 pills from his agent, Ort (real name unknown) in Ram-Intra, Bangkok. He bought 200 pills at a price of 23,000 Baht and intended to sell them at a price ranging from 26,000 to 28,000. He would use the profit he earned to pay off old debts caused by football betting and buying drugs for his own use.
