Successful Pattaya Food & Hoteliers Expo 2011 Wraps Up

The Pattaya Food & Hoteliers Expo. August 5-7, 2011 The highly successful event closed on the August 7 after three busy days. The show was welcomed by many hoteliers, chefs and a large audience who attended the many exciting competitions and events.

Pattaya, August 7, 2011[Pattaya Daily News] ; PEACH, the Royal Cliff Beach Resort Pattaya. The Pattaya Food & Hoteliers Expo 2011. On the last day, there were results of two competitions, Thailand Battle of Bartenders Winner Cup’11 and Pattaya City Culinary Cup 2011.

The Thailand Battle of Bartenders Winner Cup’11 and the Thailand Signature Drink was attended by many cheering their team and the atmosphere was electrifying. The winner was Mr Kasem Wisansub, the former champion from Chiangmai. The runner up was Mr Anan Pewklum and the second runner up was Mr. Pattara Lainumngen.

The Pattaya City Culinary Cup 2011 which was the highlight of the expo was attended by 15 teams from 10 countries drew a large audience of locals and tourists to see and taste the menus from the international chefs. The judges had difficulties in selecting the winner as every team reached the set standard and had similar scores. The winners were the team from Singapore, the former champions now back-to-back for two years. The runner up was an Australia team with a Thai chef. The second runner up was from a Hong Kong.

The winner of the Gala Setting Super Team Challenge Competition was the Sheraton Beach Resort team who displayed the gala setting in a pink flower theme. The runner up was the Royal Cliff Hotel Group and the second runner up was the Centara Grand Mirage Beach Resort.

The competition of Spa staff attire with seven teams competing was won by the Spa, the runner up was Aisawan Spa and the second runner up was Ranindra.

As for the European Menu Setting Competition which had 13 teams attending, the winner was Swissotel Le Concorde Bangkok, the runner up was the Amari Orchid Pattaya and the second runner up was R&R from Taiwan.

On the last day of the Pattaya Food & Hoteliers Expo 2011, many hoteliers went to the expo to cheer their co-workers who attended the competitions. A large number of local people and tourists went to shop around the booths with food and beverges and hotel equipment. The 5th International Pattaya Food & Hoteliers Expo 2011 was truly successful and memorable event.
