Students Arrested After Attempted Rape

Puttamonton police officers were able to arrest students from a well known university after they were reported to kidnap and rape women from their university. Luckily, two of the kidnapped women were able to escape.

NAKORNPRATHOM – June 14, 2013 [Pattaya Daily News]; Police Maj. General Pechrat Saengchai together with Police Colonel Surapot Pisuttiwong of Nakorn Phanom police announced the arrest of 24 year-old Worachit Muangngam and 17 year-old Ae (alias), students of a famous university in Bangkok. Police were able to seize the car that was used in the crimes they had committed. Guns, pepper-spray and handcuffs were found within the car.

Police officers of Puttamontol police station were informed by 2 students from Mahidol University that they were kidnapped and almost rapped by the two arrested men. Ms. Cherry (alias), said that locals helped her after she was forcefully pulled into the car. She also said that she had been assaulted, the men punched her, electrocuted.

Police Maj. Pecharat revealed that after the two women informed him about the incident, he immediately investigated. The investigation squad or team was ordered to investigate and track down the suspects. When the police were able to capture the suspects, they admitted their crime, but they claimed that they didn’t intend to rape the women. Police didn’t believe the two men, police will further question and investigate them. They have been charged for various allegations.
