Stressed Out Finn Jumps Off 11th Floor Pattaya Condo. Suicide?

A Finnish citizen upset after quarrelling with his Thai wife and threatening her that he would kill himself. But his wife did not believe him until she found his body by the swimming pool of the 11 storeys condominium.

PATTAYA – June 6, 2012 [Pattaya Daily News]; Pol.Lt.Col.Chuangchode Monkonlathanayutth- Pattaya police station, was notified about a foreigner who had reportedly fell to his death from the 11th floor of the Golden Pattaya Condominium Soi Naklua 25, North Pattaya road.

At scene of the incident. The police found the corpse of Mr. Mikko Majuri 46-years-old Finnish citizen wearing a white t-shirt and combat camouflage shorts.

Mr. Majuri’s skull was shattered, his legs fractured and his broken notebook was lying beside him by the swimming pool.

His Thai wife, Mrs. Kamolwan Yenturas 30-years-old was weeping next to his dead body.

Miss Kamolwan said that she had been together with him for seven years. They were living on the 11th floor of the condo. Before his death, she had told him that she was going to visit her mother in Khon Kaen, North Eastern Thailand.

Mr.Mikko Majuri got upset and they quarrelled and he said if she went he would kill himself by jumping off the building.

She did not believe him even though before going to bed, she saw him sleeping alone outside on the balcony.

Moments later someone called her that her husband had jumped and was dead.

She thought that he had also been under stress about his work.

The police officer recorded her testimony and sent the body to the Thai Royal Police hospital for autopsy. The Embassy of Finland will be informed accordingly.
