St. Patrick’s Day Parade 2014

The festive atmosphere of St.Patrick’s Day 2014 in Pattaya city was full of vigour as usual with the Father Ray Foundation and representatives of various related organization joined together to parade along beach road. There were 35 parades in total at a length of more than 1 km.

PATTAYA – March 17, 2014 [Pattaya Daily News]; at 3.00 p.m.; at the car park of the Alcazar Show Theatre, there was a lot of activity for the St.Patrick’s Day Parade 2014. Mr. Rattanachai Sutthidechanai (President of Pattaya Tourism and Culture Committee), Father Dr. Phicharn Jaiseri (President of Phra Maha Tai for Disabilities Development Foundation) and Miss Ajjima Chawalitthamrong (Funding Manager of Father Ray Foundation) were the presidents in the opening ceremony of this festival and released the parade to celebrate a long beach road.

“St. Patrick’s Day” festival is always celebrated on March 17, 2014 and is an Irish national celebration day to celebrate Saint Patrick. The Irish people and people who joined in the festival always wear green shirts, adorn green symbols and decorate cars in the parade with green decorations. The parade started at the front of Alcazar Theatre near soi 4 and moved along beach road to Walking Street then turned left to south Pattaya road and ended at Mueang Pattaya 8 school.

The festival was full of various entertainment and activities including drinking games, lucky draw and fancy dress. Also there were many prizes up for grabs.
