Speeding Pick Up Collides With Motorbike

A pick-up truck which was being driven at high speed collided with a motorbike which was performing a U-turn in the road.

SATTAHIP – April 10,2015 [Pattaya Daily News]; at 12.10 a.m., Pol.Capt. Karnjanaphat Pathaweesrisutha (Inquiry official of Sattahip police station) was notified that there was a traffic accident involving a pick-up truck which had collided with a motorbike severely injuring the rider. The incident had occurred on the Sukhumvit road km.181 (km.10) – Sattahip Moo 2 Tambon Sattahip, Amphur Sattahip, Chon Buri province so he rushed to inspect at scene together with the rescue team of Sawang Rojjana Tharmma Satharn Sattahip Foundation.

At the scene the officers found a bronze Ford Ranger pick-up truck, license no. Bor Hor-4447 Rayong and its front bumper was severely damaged. The driver was identified as Mr. Charee Saenjaingarm, aged 55. Also at the scene was Mrs. Thongphoon Pha-kham, aged 58 the bike rider who was severely injured with broken bones and was bleeding a lot, near her was her Honda click license no. Ngor Chor Mor-632 Chon Buri, which had sustained severe damage to its front end after being pushed into a cement wall. The rescuers performed first aid on her before sending her to the Queen Sirikit hospital for further treatment.

Upon questioning Mr. Charee Saenjaingarm (the pick-up truck driver) he told police that he was heading towards Amphur Sattahip from Rayong in order to run some errands but when he arrived at the incident point which was a curve in the road on a downhill section Mrs. Thongphoon was doing a U-turn in the road, but because he was travelling at high speed he couldn’t break in time and collided into the back of her flinging her and the motorbike into a cement wall causing her to become severely injured.
