At the incident, police found a black Honda Wave X motorbike, extensively damaged, lying at the roadside. The two dead women were identified as Miss Duengnapa Duengporn (24), from Surin province, who was wearing a caddy uniform from Siam Country Club Golf Course and Miss Yuwadee Jahue (25), from Chiang Mai province. Both of them had sustained severe injuries, with broken arms and legs. A Siam Country Club Golf Course official and friends were gathered round the bodies.

About 20 metres away, a black Honda City car, had damages to the front and a totally smashed windscreen. The driver, Mr. Phongsak Harnphongphan, (51), from Rayong province, a staff member of a car spare parts manufacturing company, was standing outside his car, uninjured, but looking frightened.

Mr. Phongsak had apparently been driving his car from Rayong to go to work at a well known car assembly company in Laem Chabang. He was driving at high speed and had crashed into the motorbike driven by Miss Yuwadee with Miss Duangnapa riding pillion. His car had impacted heavily with the motorbike, causing it to bounce off onto the grass by the roadside, killing Miss Yuwadee and Miss Duangnapa instantly. Mr. Phongsak had apparently tried to drive away, but his car would not start, so he was marooned.

A colleague of Miss Duengnapa said she had worked as a caddy at the golf club, which was about 1 kilometer away from the incident. She was usually taken on a motorbike by Miss Yuwadee to go to work. They had apparently not seen the speeding oncoming car, while they were crossing the intersection.

Initially, police took both dead bodies to Banglamung Hospital and informed their relatives the take them to perform a funeral ceremony. Mr. Phongsak, the car driver, was detained and is being charged with careless driving resulting in loss of life.
