Son-In-Law Who Was High On Drugs Goes On Shooting Spree

A son-in-law who was high on amphetamines went on a shooting spree killing one and severely injuring two others.

CHONBURI – April 12, 2014 [Pattaya Daily News]; at 7.10 p.m.; Pol.Lt. Weerayuth Karngkala (Investigation officer of Nong Kharm police station, Amphur Sri Racha, Chonburi Province) was notified that there had been a shooting which 1 victim was dead and 3 victims got severely injured. The Incident occurred at house no. 420/2 Ban Khong Dara, Moo 6 Tambon Nong Kharm, Amphur Sri Racha, so Pol.Lt. Weerayuth Karngkala rushed to inspect at scene together with the detective police team and the rescuers of Piew Yieng Tai Sri Racha Foundation.

At the incident the officers found the corpse of Mr. Thanathorn Nithiwannathorn, aged 54, he had suffered 1 gunshot wound from a .38 firearm. The officers also found 1 injured victim which was identified as Miss Natthamon Nithiwannathorn, aged 22, who is the daughter of Mr. Thanathorn (the deceased) who had been shot in the middle of her back and was severely injured.

Upon questioning the relatives, they told police that Mr. Kittisak or Mac aged 21, who is the son-in-law of the deceased and the husband of Miss Natthamon (the injured) walked into the minimart where he took out a gun and shot Mr Thanathorn once before shooting Miss Natthamon . He then went to house no. 538/1 Moo 6 Tambon Nong Kharm where he then shot Mr Wichai Luangrach, aged 52 and Mr. Sombat who are workers at the deceased’s house before fleeing the scene. The rescuers of Piew Yieng Tai Sri Racha Foundation rushed the 2 injured victims to Somdej Phra Borrom Ratcha Thewi Na Sri Racha hospital for urgent treatment.

The police of Nong Kharm police station together with forces of the police team chased after Mr. Kittisak (the trouble maker)to arrest him for murder, they also think that the shootings and the murder was due to him being high on amphetamines and once caught he will be punished according to Thai law.
