Singaporean Arrested for Stealing GT-R Super Car

Police arrested a Singaporean man who stole Mr. Thitipan Keyanon's Nissan GT-R. He denies all charges.

PATTAYA – June 26,2012 [Pattaya Daily News]; Pol.Lt.Gen.Panya Memen, Pol.Maj.Gen.Jamnong Ratanakul, and Pol.Col. Theerapol Jindaluang together with Pattaya police forces arrested of Mr. Mr.Tan Pei Nam a 27-year-old, Singaporean, one of the accomplices who had stolen Mr.Thitipan‘s car.

The police said that there were three people in the gang, Thai and Singaporean, one of them was called “Nicholas”, unknown surname, 25-30 years old.

On June 24, at the crime scene in Pattaya, Nicholas came to J Hotel to join the Super Car Party. At the party, Nicholas tried to befriend with Mr.Thitipan, asking him about the car and followed Mr.Thitipan’s movement the entire time, until the opportunity rose when Mr.Thitipan went to a pub with his friends.

Nicholas called one of his gang members to steal the car and drive it to JW Boulevard condominium in Bangkok. Mr. Tan Pei Nam was sitting in the passenger seat.

The police believes that this gang stole cars by orders from abroad because when they inspected the car they found that the car’s registration plate was changed to a red plate.

Mr.Tan Pei Nam refuses to admit that he was one of the gang members, he said that he just sat in the passenger seat with “Mr.Ken” – a Thai man. The police also found the documents belonging to the stolen car in a room in JW Boulevard condominium.

From checking Mr.Tan Pei Nam’s record, he had been in Thailand for four months, was unemployed and his passport had expired.

The police will further interrogate Mr.Tan Pei Nam and catch the rest of the international car thieves.

Stolen GT-R Super Car Found in Bangkok

June 24, 2012, Mr.Thitipan Keyanon or “Golf”, reported his Nissan GT-R stolen from J Hotel in Pattaya. The sports car was found the following day in Bangkok.
