Shuttle Bus Collides With MotorbikeA Bangkok shuttle bus has crashed into a motorbike injuring the rider and passenger. The bike rider claimed that the bus jumped the traffic lights but the driver denied the allegations.
PATTAYA – September 25th 2015 [Pattaya Daily News]; at 4.00 p.m., Pol.Lt. Phakkaphon Thaninyanthorn (Inquiry official of Na Jomtien police station) was notified that there was an accident involving a shuttle bus which had collided with a motorbike injuring the passenger and the rider. The incident occurred at Ban Amphur intersection entrance route to Pattaya.
At the scene the officers found a damaged red Honda Wave 125I motorbike and the rider and the passenger were students of the Sattahip Technical College. The first victim was identified as Mr. Jakkrit Sakuldet, aged 18 and the second victim was a Miss Sarawan Ampornmaha, aged 18 who had broken both of her legs. They were then both rushed to the Queen Sirikit hospital for treatment. About 50 meters away was a pink Bangkok shuttle bus which had a broken windscreen. The driver Mr. Wutthinan Yaowaphan, aged 50 was standing waiting for police.
Pol.Lt Phakkaphon Thaninyanthorn said that from initial investigation that they found out that the shuttle bus had jumped a red light and hit the motorbike causing the injuries to the rider and passenger. However the bus driver denied the allegations so the police are now inspecting the CCTV in the area to find the truth of what really happened.
