Shots Fired At Singer & Guitarist At Pattaya Temple Fair

A gunman shoots and wounds the singer and the guitarist at a Pattaya temple fair. The singer says that a teenage gang were seeking revenge from a previous fight.

Pattaya, November 17, 2011[Pattaya Daily News]; Pol. Lt. Col. Suppachat Peammanus, Pattaya police was notified about a shooting at a mobile amusement park at Wat Nongkate Yai Temple Fair in Banglamung, Chonburi province.

At the scene of the shooting the police finds two wounded named, Mr. Vutthipong Somta age 22, address 58 Moo 2, Tambon Kummuang, Khonkaen province, the singer shot twice in the head and once in the right wrist by home made gun.

The other victim Mr. Mongkol Lahae age 37, the guitar player is shot the left arm. The slightly wounded band members are sent to the Banglamung hospital.

 

Upon investigation Mr. Vutthipong, the injured singer, said that the band had been playing at the temple fair since November 13, 2011.

Before the shooting, Mr. Vutthipong was singing on the stage and Mr. Mongkol was playing guitar. Suddenly a gun shot rang out and the guitarist, Mr. Mongkol, was hit. More shots and Mr. Vutthipong was also hit. The temple fair visitor panic and flee the scene.

Mr. Vutthipong assumes that the shooters could be ”wai-lunn”, teenagers from Soi Nongkate Yai who had a fight with him and his friend earlier on November 14, 2011.

He believes that the gang of teens wanted revenge. That’s why they shot at him and his friend. The police is on the case and will arrest the gang members soonest possible.
