Shops in Mimosa Pattaya Complain About Admission Fee

Shop operators in “Mimosa Pattaya” have submitted a petition to the Consumer Protection Board in order to ask for fairness after the executives of Mimosa Pattaya started to collect an admission fee.

PATTAYA – July 1st 2014 [Pattaya Daily News]; at Pattaya City Hall, Chonburi province, there were over 10 shop operators who had an area to sell their goods in the City of Love or “Mimosa Pattaya” went to submit a petition with The Consumer Protection Board, Office of the Pattaya City Manager, in order to ask for fairness after they have been taken advantage of by the executives of Mimosa Pattaya.Mr. Tharmmanoon Hinkham from The Consumer Protection Board received the petition.

 

Mr. Kwanchai Thongngew, aged 47, who is the owner of I-Bakery Love Story shop, told journalists that he had submitted a petition with The Consumer Protection Board because Mimosa Co., Ltd had broken the contract that he had with them. Mimosa Co., Ltd advertises that they don’t charge tourists to go into Mimosa Pattaya and is the only community mall that doesn’t charge an entrance fee, but at present Mimosa Pattaya charges tourists an entrance fee which causes the tourists not don’t buy goods and services from the shops so he came to submit the petition to ask for fairness.

 

Mr. Sitthiporn Thesjaem (The lawyer of Mimosa Pattaya) said that after he has received the petition he will take this matter up with the executives of Mimosa Pattaya that they are not operating according to their advertisement.

 

Mr. Tharmmanoon Hinkham (the lawyer 6 Wor.), who is the officers of The Consumer Protection Board, said that he wants the 2 parties to negotiate together to come to an agreement.
