Pattaya, the 24th of August 2010 [Pattaya Daily News]: At approximately 11:00am on Tuesday, Lieutenant Colonel Prakop Saeng Pring (Huay Yai Police Superintendent) revealed the successful apprehension of a group of 7 Thai boys (between the ages of 15-17), wanted in relation to the rape of two teenage girls, Miss Fah [15] (alias) and Miss Neuy [16] (alias), during recent Queens birthday celebrations.

According to police reports, both girls had been invited to a concert at the Somprasong Plaza in Jomtien on the 9th of August by a one of the offenders, Mr. Noi (alias). Believing him to be a close friend, the two teenage girls subsequently attended the concert at the behest of Mr. Noi, who transported them to and from the venue on his motorbike (black Honda Wave).

Allegedly, upon returning from the concert, Mr. Noi explained that his motorbike was not running correctly, before calling two friends, Mr. Bank and Mr. Arm, to come and assist in transporting the women home. Left with little choice and given their location at the time (a small Soi off the Sukhumvit Road in Na Jomtien), the girls did what Mr. Noi instructed.

The two girls accepted a lift home from Mr. Bank and Mr. Arm, traveling now on two separate motorbikes. Under the impression, that they were to be taken home and that their friend Mr. Noi had gone home the two girls told police they were taken to the Tara Resort in Huay Yai, noticing Mr. Noi drinking at a nearby Thai bar in the area.

Accordingly, when the two men stopped at the hotel they forced Miss Fah and her friend Miss Neuy into a room, where two other young men were waiting. In total, the girls state that seven boys were involved with the subsequent rape that occurred, three offenders other than those already stated appearing at the room later on in proceedings.

Following the traumatic incident, the two girls managed to escape the gang of youths who had called more friends to transport the women to another location in Pattaya. They escaped by jumping from still moving motorbikes while near the Big C supermarket in South Pattaya, taking refuge in a nearby security box. Allegedly the gang of approximately 4-5 boys at that time, threatened the security guard to release the two women before randomly fleeing the scene.

Initially following the nights events, the two victims did not tell anyone about the rape, but when one of the offenders, their former friend Mr. Noi, started spreading the story at school, the Miss Fah refused to attend, telling her mother about the incident.

On the 18th of August, Miss Fah, her mother and Miss Neuy proceeded to the Huay Yai police station to report the incident. Following a short investigation, all seven offenders were arrested by authorities and have now been transported to the Juvenile Detention Center in Chon-Buri.

At present, police are still investigating the case and are attempting to locate and apprehend a further 4-5 young man, thought to have been involved with the incident in some capacity.
