Serial Hand Bag Thief’s Caught Red Handed

A hand bag thief gang have been caught red handed after they tried to return a victims bag and documents. They admitted to police that they had committed the same type of crime 100 a year.

CHONBURI-May 22, 2014 [Pattaya Daily News];- at 14.30 pm. Pol.Lt.Col.Tharathep Toopanich- deputy commander of Laem Chabung police station- made the statement about the arrest of a gang who were Mr.Viroj Nakjaroen aged 28, Mr.Kietwat Kaewchamorn aged 19 with a blue Toyota sedan and Honda Tena motorbike.
 
On the incident day (10 May) at 03.00 am. The police were notified by a Ms Thiptiwa Sirisawas who is pregnant that she was riding on Muang Mai road when the thieves cut infront of her causing her to crash. The thieves then robed her handbag which contained 1,000 baht, I-mobile cell phone and ATM card before fleeing the scene.
 
The police asked Ms Thiptiwa to call to her cell phone which had been taken. Mr Viroj answered the phone and said he will return the bag and documents but he will keep the money. Therefore the police asked Ms.Thiptiwa to arrange a meeting point with him in order to return her documents.
 
After they arranged to meet Mr.Viroj arrived at the meeting point and was ambushed by the police and arrested. The police also arrested Mr.Kietwat at Mr Virojs room where they found 5 handbags and 100 ID cards. They admitted that they stole and robed victims in Sri Racha and Bang Lamung district by using a toy gun and a knife. They needed the money to pay for drugs which they had from an employee of a famous entertainment avenue in Laem Chabung and they also used the money to hang out. They also admitted that they had robed 100 victims already this year.
