PATTAYA – March 30, 2013 [Pattaya Daily News]; At 5:30 a.m., a report of a victim being injured during a robbery at a dental clinic was received by Pol. Lt. Col. Songkram Pan-iam, detective inspector of the shift, Muang Pattaya police station.

The incident occurred at the Sittan Dental clinic, number 301/44, moo 12, Tepprasit Rd. Nongprue, Banglamung, Chonburi. The clinic was on the ground floor of a 3-story building. Police officers found a lot of bloodstains at the scene.

The injured victim was identified as Ms. Sompit Supporn, 31 years old. She had a big wound in her right arm from being stabbed by a pair of scissors. Police questioned the owner of the clinic, a dentist identified as Dr. Sittarn Tongbai MDS. He told officers that he had heard the sound of his wife’s sister shouting that there was a robber.

When he went out to see, he saw she was stabbed on the arm and seriously injured, so he sent her to the hospital. The robber escaped with a wallet containing 9,000 baht cash, and ran up to the top deck of the building.

The victim, Ms. Sompit, said that she was sleeping in the house with her sister’s kids, and heard the sound of the clinic door being opened. At first she thought it was her sister, so she called out to her. But the robber appeared, so she was shocked and turned the light on. Then the man locked her neck and used a pointed weapon to control her and dragged her into the bedroom.

He demanded that she bring any valuable properties to him. But she said that there was nothing valuable in the clinic. The man got pissed off and slapped her face and threatened to rape her. She became afraid, so she lied to him that there were computers downstairs that he could have if he wanted. Then the man searched in the clinic and took her elder sister’s wallet.

Then Ms. Sompit tried to find something to hurt the man, and found a steel rod, and whacked him hard. Then they got into a fight, until the man stabbed her in the arm with a scissors. He then ran away, going up to the deck of the building. He threw a screwdriver at her as he fled.

Then her brother-in-law who had woken up came to help her. She remembered the appearance of the burglar, and said he was thin and tall, skin-headed, wearing a black T-shirt, black trousers and black sneakers.

The police checked the crime scene thoroughly and wrote in the police journal, and sent the case to the detective to rush to find the suspect to be punished by law.
