Sattahip Septuagenerian Brit Dies of Cancer At Home

British man aged 74 years spent a decade with a 29-year-old Thai woman before getting sick with lung cancer. His wife took care of him at home until he died calmly. The wife said, her husband was a good man who took care of her and family during the ten years they spent together.

Sattahip, January 4, 2012[Pattaya Daily News]; Pol. Lt. Naret Boonthee, Sattahip police station, Chonburi province, was notified about a dead foreigner in a dwelling on 144/113 Moo 3 Tambon Bang Sarey, Sattahip.

The scene of he incident, a single one story house. In the bedroom the police found the dead body of Mr. Vincent Ovenjones age 74, British citizen lying on the on the bed covered with a blanket looking like he was sleeping. Beside him was the oxygen breathing apparatus.

Mrs. Chutiyapha Jones age 29, the wife, said, that after they met Mr. Vincent retired travelled to Thailand and married Khun Chutiyapha.

They spent a happy 10 years together before Mr Vincent succumbed to lung cancer and died calmly in his bedroom. She said, that her husband was a good husband who took care of her and family until his last breath.

Pol. Lt. Naret Boonthee, assigned to this case, said that, he had sent the dead body for post-mortem examination to determine the cause of death. The British embassy will be contacted accordingly.
