SATTAHIP – May 30, 2012 [Pattaya Daily News];Mr. Pairoj Malakul Na Ayuddhaya, Lord Mayor of Tambon Kethudomsak received complaints from the locals of Taotarn, village, Sattahip, Chonburi province about the pollution caused by trucks moving dirt to a construction site.

Upon inspection the officers found a mound of earth behind a mountain next to 700 rais piece of land at Moo 4 Sattahip. The officers also found a big Kobelco backhoe. As the driver saw the officer, he switched off the engine and fled the scene and ran into the forest.

Later Ms. Anussara Juajamsai from the land owner’s office came to negotiate with the officers and said that her boss had told her move the mound of earth to another area also owned by her boss. She did not know that it was illegal.
