The summer is here, however tourists should take extra care when enjoying the hot weather which can be very dangerous if the correct precautions are not followed.
Tourists are advised to check the weather conditions before going on any trips especially if they are travelling by boat to the various islands off the coast of Pattaya. They should check the wave height , wind speed and direction which can wash poisonous animals to be washed ashore and they should also carry mini first aid kits.
Once at the island or beach of their choice they should only swim in the swimming areas and should only swim within the permitted times and should never swim at night or after eating or drinking alcohol.
Also the hot weather brings more insects which carry diseases and bacteria in food can spread faster so tourists should wear long clothes at night and should only eat at clean restaurants and avoid food which has been left out in the sun or hasn’t been kept in the fridge.
The hot weather can also bring on heat stroke if the temperature reaches 40 degrees or more Celsius which can bring on a heart attack so the advice is to stay out of the sun between 10.00 am and 15.00pm, wear long lose fitting clothes and drink at least 2 litres of water per day. But if your on the beach you should wear a hat and put plenty of sun screen on of 15 SPF or more and re-apply after swimming. The instruction are there for people to be more aware of the hot conditions which can be enjoyed if they do it safely.
