Safe Stolen From Kuwaiti Tourist’s Apartment in Pattaya City

Tourist from Kuwait went out for a clubbing with his girlfriend at the night, and after he came back, the safety-box was gone with 100,000 Baht inside. A burglar is at large (free), but Pattaya City Police station is working hard in order to catch the thief and try to return belongings to Tourist.

PATTAYA – February 7,2015 [Pattaya Daily News]; at 4:00 early in the morning, Pol. Maj. Ekkachai Moollee (Inquiry official of Pattaya city police station, Chon Buri province) was notified that there was a burglary in an apartment room and the safe was stolen from Kuwaiti tourist, with 100,000 Baht inside the safe. Incident occurred at one apartment that is located behind “Honey Food and Drink” restaurant on Phratumnak road, Moo 10 Tambon Nong Prue, Amphur Banglamung, Chon Buri province, in the 5-storey apartment building, so him, together with police forensics and team of detectives, went to the crime scene.

 

At the scene officers found traces of forced entry to the apartment on the 1st floor and a safe (that was installed on a wall) was missing. There were a lot of valuable belongings inside the safe, such as a cash of 3,000 U.S. dollar, iPhone 5, Passport and 5 credit cards with total worth of over 100,000 Baht.

 

Upon investigating Mr. Mohunna Anhajari (victim), aged 39, who is a tourist from Kuwait, and Ms. Jehus Pumawasari (victim’s Indonesia girlfriend), aged 21, they’ve told the police that they came to spend holiday in Pattaya. At approximately 12.30 AM, before incident occurred, they’ve go out for a drink, and after they came back, they’ve found that the room lock was broken and the room was opened. After they’ve enter the room, they’ve noticed that the safe was missing from the room.

 

After initial investigation, Pol. Maj. Ekkachai Moonlee (Inquiry official who is responsible for this case) took the lock as a evidence, in order to send to forensics for fingerprint analysis. Team of police professionals are working on CCTV footage, in order to retrieve identity of the thief so can they can make an arrest, so thief can be prosecuted further according to the Thai law.
