Sabaithong Massage – Exceptional Value For Money Traditional Massage

Sabai? Thong?Massage?(Golden Relaxation) has been operating?for between?five to six?months and was started because Khun Nok, (Pikol James) the owner, really appreciated Thai massage. Accordingly, she decided to open a massage parlour of her own. The premises are close to a hotel from which she gets many of her customers. When the Review Team from PDN went to visit Sabai Thong?Massage, the massage parlour was full of farang males contentedly receiving a variety of massages from the proficient hands of Khun Nok?s masseuses (female masseurs).?

The premises have a welcoming atmosphere, the fragrant aroma of herbs and essential oils pleasantly scenting the air, with smiling, young masseuses dressed in traditional Thai costume. From the contented expressions on the faces of the clientele, the service was excellent; a first impression which was verified when we actually sampled the services for ourselves. The parlour is exceptionally clean and rip roy (tidy) as the Thais say, and the massage couches large and comfortable. PDN’s Publisher, Ms Warina Punyawan, an aficionado of Thai massage, thoroughly enjoyed her sample massage, feeling relaxed and invigorated afterwards and heartily recommends the services of Sabai Thong to all those who relish such delights of the senses.

The prices of Sabai Thong Massage are extremely cheap and very good value for money. The range is very comprehensive: aromatherapy and oil massage, deep cleansing massage, foot massage (reflexology) and full facial treatment. Otop herbal products are used extensively, particularly in herbal compresses and as exfoliates (the removal of dry skin). The massage treatments also include jap sen, the Thai medical massage, which reaches the zones other treatments don’t touch. Two of Khun Nok’s masseuses are qualified Thai medical massage specialists, who are fully trained in the traditional art.

Sabai Thong Massage also provides room service massage, which has proved very popular, especially for Western customers of both sexes. Its location is also very convenient, especially for car drivers for whom a car park is provided.

More Information
Traditional Thai Massage, also called Thai Yoga Therapy, Nuad phaen boran or Nuat Thai, is a therapeutic technique that dates back thousands of years. Its precise origins are unknown, but practitioners traditionally trace their lineage to Jivaka Komalaboat, also known as Shivago, who was a personal physician to the Sangha, a friend and physician to the Buddha and renowned as a healer in Buddhist tradition.

Traditional Thai medicine is a natural, holistic approach to health and well-being, developed over thousands of years, which includes proper nutrition, physical exercise, the use of medicinal herbs and therapeutic massage. Traditional Thai medicine is not only concerned with curing diseases and ailments: its primary goal is maintaining health and well-being, as ancient Thais believed that “the absence of illness is the best blessing”. The medical knowledge developed by Thai people through many generations has come to be known as the ancient wisdom of Thailand.

Diagrams inscribed on the walls at the temple of Wat Po in Bangkok illustrate one of the fundamental principles of traditional Thai medicine: that energy flows through the body along ten major channels, or sen lines. If an obstruction occurs in any of these channels it is believed that pain or disease results. In this sense, traditional Thai medicine is similar to many other ancient healing systems, which believe that illnesses are caused by an imbalance or obstruction within the individual, or by an imbalance between an individual and his environment.

Ancient Thais treated a number of ailments by using massage to restore the flow of energy throughout the body. Traditional Thai massage is a deep, full-body treatment, which includes both stretching of the joints and muscles and applied pressure to the sen lines.
A good Thai foot massage not only makes your feet feel wonderful, it can promote healing and relaxation in many other parts of the body as well. In the ancient Orient, this was discovered rather early, and foot massage was used as a method of healing both the mind and the body. As a holistic treatment, those in the ancient Orient realized that foot massage could relieve stress, help promote restful sleep, increase circulation, and even help promote a better immune system. In the mental sense, it could increase alertness and enhance creativity. Thai foot massage incorporates elements of what we recognize as reflexology. The foundation of reflexology is that there are certain points on the foot that can affect other areas of the body. Thai foot massage and reflexology can extend to the ankles and legs as well. For this reason, most Thai foot masseuses will ask for a detailed medical history before beginning treatment. In this way they can determine what pressure points can be focused on more than others, and even help patients discover problems early that they may not have been aware of.

Thai foot massage usually takes about an hour, and starts not with immediately focusing on pressure points, but on what the masseuse calls ?opening the pathways of energy?. In Thai foot massage it is believed that the massage must be done in stages, readying the subject for each successive step so that each step in turn can be most effective
