From initial investigation, both defendants who confessed to the robbery and before the incident occurred they persuaded each other to ride from Amphur Sri Racha to Pattaya city which they claimed that it was to celebrate Mr. Charin’s birthday (or Daeng, the first defendant) but they didn’t have money to buy liquor so they decided to rob somebodies handbag in order to get money to buy liquor but after the robbery tried to escape but they didn’t know there way round Pattaya and were arrested quickly.

The 2 thieves which are the close friends had argument in front of the police after they put the blame to each other about which one persuaded to make trouble first especially Mr. Nopphadol who was the passenger that yanked the victim’s handbag was so angry at Mr. Charin who was the driver because Mr. Charin accused Mr. Nopphadol that he persuaded him to make trouble although Mr. Charin never committed an offence before. The police then had to separate the 2 thieves from each other and charged them with the allegation of “together snatching other people’s property at night by using a vehicle for the convenience of escaping” They were then sent to the investigation officer to be prosecuted further according to the Thai law.
