Russian Woman Robbed At Home

A Thai male who used a gun robbed Russian women while she was sitting at home escaped with around 100,000 THB worth of property. He fled the scene on his motorbike.

CHONBURI – April 2, 2014 [Pattaya Daily News]; at 5.00 a.m. the police of Nong Prue police station, Amphur Banglamung, Chonburi Province, were notified by the radio centre of Pattaya city police station that there was a burglar who had used a gun to rob a female foreigner at her house, address 40/35 Moo 10 Rawiporn Village 1, Soi Wat Boonsamphan, Khao Noi, so the officers rushed to inspect at scene together with the detective police team.

At the incident the officers found a Miss Tatiana Ostapchuk, aged 35, Russian nationality, was standing waiting for the police. Miss Tatiana told police that at approximately 2.00 a.m. while she was sitting at home there was a knock at the door, then suddenly a Thai man appeared , he was tall and skinny wearing black clothes. He pointed a gun at her and told her to take him to the bedroom to steal her belongings. He also searched her handbag but there was no money inside. He then told her to sit on the bed and took 1 iPad worth 20,000 THB, then he forced her into the living room where he took 1 Canon camera worth approximately 60,000 THB and 1 iPhone 4S mobile phone, he then fled the scene fleeing on his motorbike.

After inspecting the incident and questioning the victim the police made a note for evidence and will inspect the CCTVs along the route that the robber rode his motorbike in order to follow up and arrest him to be prosecuted further according to the Thai law.
