Russian Woman Has Bag Snatched in Pattaya

Two thieves who snatched a Russian womans bag and fled at speed from the scene lost control and crashed. One of the thieves suffered a broken leg and the other fled on foot but was quickly arrested.

PATTAYA – 1 July, 2014 [Pattaya Daily News];- at 00.30 am. Pol.Col.Suppatee Boonkrong-deputy commander of Chonburi and acting superintendent of Pattaya police station- led a team to arrest two snatchers which consisted of Mr.Surasith Moongmueng aged 21 and Mr.Pratchaya Kongpetch aged 27 with a cell phone, some foreign currency and a motorcycle which they used for the robbery. Miss Nadezhda Nikulekova 53 year old Russian was one of their victims.

Pol.Col.Suppatee said that the police officers were notified that two muggers had snatched the tourist bag on Khao Pra Yai hill, Pattaya Tai and tried to flee the scene at speed but lost control and crashed. When the police reached the scene they found Mr Surasith has suffered a broken leg and the victim belongings were on the floor. Mr.Pratchaya had escaped from the scene but was quickly arrested by police shortly after in Soi Chaiyapoon road, Pattaya Klang.
