On the stairway area, the officers found Mr. Aleksaned Ushakovx, aged 36, from Russia, who was standing in the door and acting crazy and would let anybody near him. From his appearance he looked like a drug addict. Because of his appearance he caused trouble to other residents.

The police attempted to talk to Mr. Aleksaned for over 30 minutes but they could not reconcile with him so they let a Russian tourist talk to Mr. Aleksaned about how he wanted the officers to help him. After a while, Mr. Aleksaned walked away from the beach house so the police took the opportunity while he was absent-minded to detain him and take him to the Pattaya police station.
