Russian Man Steals Wristwatch From Market

A 41-year-old male Russian stole a fashionable wrist watch worth 1,500 THB as he walked past a market stall which was selling them.

PATTAYA – March 3,2015 [Pattaya Daily News]; at 4.00 p.m., Pol.Maj. Chaliaw Boonkhoom (Inquiry official of Pattaya city police station) had detained Mr. Chekulaev Dmitrii, Russian nationality, aged 41, for stealing a fashionable wristwatch worth 1,500 THB from the Grand Hall market fair, Soi Bua Khao, Moo 10 Tambon Nong Prue, Amphur Banglamung, Chon Buri province.

 

Upon questioning Mr. Piyaphong the victim he told the police that before incident occurred he was selling wristwatches to another customers when Mr. Chekulaev walked passed his stall ,picked up a watch and carried on walking so Mr. Piyaphong asked his friend to get him and bring him back to the stall. Mr. Piyaphong then called the police who turned up and searched Mr. Chekulaev where they found the watch in his pocket. Mr. Chekulaev denied stealing the watch so he was taken to the police station for further questioning.

Pol.Maj. Chaliaw Boonkhoom (Inquiry official of Pattaya city police station) warned all vendors in Pattaya city to take extra care when selling goods when there are a lot of people about when this type of crime might happen.
