RUN FOR FOOD; MALE SINGER HIT AND RUN BY A CAR; DEAD ON THE SPOT

Unfortunate male singer ran across the road to buy some food, was hit by a car. He was killed instantly and the car escaped, leaving a car license plate falling on the road. Police will check to arrest the car driver.

On 26 November 2007, at 03.00AM, Pol.Lt.Col. Theerasak Jaruensri, Pattaya investigator, Banglamung, Chonburi, was informed that a man was hit and killed by a car. The incident was on South Pattaya – Sukhumvit road, opposite “Sao 16” restaurant, Sattahip inbound. Police team with Sawang boriboon rushed to the incident.
Arriving at the scene, a number of singers from the restaurant were crying to see the deceased body of Mr. Sanoh Gamnurnhan (37) a singer of “Sao 16” restaurant, was from No. 1, Moo 14, Baan Han, Kasetsomboon, Chaiyaphum. He had sustained a head injury. His arms and legs were broken and scraped all over his body.

The car that hit Mr. Sanoh had obviously escaped, leaving a license plate No. 4851, Bangkok, on the road. Officials had confiscated the license plate as the evidence and immediately coordinated with traffic police but had no sign of the suspect.

Mr. Sino Harasarn (39), a manager of “Sao 16” restaurant told that Mr. Sanoh was a singer of the restaurant. He had just finished his singing for the night and ran across the road to buy some food. He was hit by a car and bounced off for 50 metes and had been dead. During that time, nobody had witnessed the incident and could not recognize the car that hit Mr. Sanoh. However, police will investigate to find the owner of the car and to charge the driver according to the law.
