Roving Pattaya Teen Bikers Shoot At Two Men

A waiter and singer working at south Pattaya restaurant were beaten and shot at by three teens on motorbikes for no apparent reason. The waiter said he never saw the teens before. But they followed him from a store and began beating him. The singer tried to help and was shot in both legs.

PATTAYA – December 27, 2012 [Pattaya Daily News]; at 3:30 a.m., a report of a shooting by teens that injured others was received by Pol. Lt. Col. Natthawat Srithongpech, investigation officer, Pattaya police station. He rushed to inspect the scene with the detective police team and the rescue officer of Sawangboribul Pattaya foundation.

The incident occurred in front of Sao Phu Thai restaurant, Nong Plamor intersection at Third Pattaya Road in south Pattaya.

At the scene, police found two injured victims. The more seriously injured victim was shot in both legs by an unknown caliber gun. He was identified as Mr. Wattanasak Srijampa, age 38, a singer at the restaurant. Rescue officers performed first aid and sent Mr. Wattanasak to Banglamung hospital.

The other injured victim was identified as Mr. Phanomwan Kaenarsa, age 23, from Ubonratchathani province. He works as a waiter in the restaurant. Police inspecting the scene found one bullet, which they kept for evidence.

During questioning, Mr. Phanomwan told police that he had driven his motorbike to buy liquor for a customer, at a 7-Eleven shop at the red-light intersection by Sophon market.

But when he was returning to the restaurant, three teenagers he never saw before began to follow him, and started throwing rocks at him. When Mr. Phanomwan reached the restaurant, the three teenagers got off their motorbikes and tried to beat him.

So he yelled for assistance from the people in the restaurant. The restaurant singer Mr. Wattanasak rushed over to help Mr. Phanomwan. But one of the teens took out a gun to shoot at them until they got injured. The three suspects then escaped on their motorbikes going toward the bridge of Laem Balihai.
