Robbers Arrested

Nong Prue police went to Khon Kaen province to arrest 2 robbers who used a gun to rob a convenience store in Tambon Nong Prue, Amphur Banglamung, Chon Buri province.

CHON BURI – February 2, 2015 [Pattaya Daily News]; at 11.00 a.m., Pol.Col. Trairong Phiwphan (Deputy Commander of Chon Buri Provincial Police Station), Pol.Col. Pramot Ngarmpradit (Superintendent of Nong Prue police station), Pol.Lt.Col. Thapanat Chayarnphat (Deputy Superintendent), Pol.Maj. Natthakorn Mongkhonmaha (Inspector) and the detective police team together made a statement about arresting Mr. Danai or Beer Phetphumee, aged 20, a resident of Amphur Tha Bo, Nong Khai province, and Mr. Pornchai or Phoom Mahora, aged 23, a resident of Amphur Phrai Bueng, Si Sa Ket province, who were 2 defendants that used a gun to rob a convenience store. They were arrested according to Pattaya Provincial Court No. 39-40/2558 dated January 30, 2015, with exhibits of 1 shotgun and 1 bullet no. 20, 1 radio communication and 1 motorbike that was used in the robbery.

 

Pol.Col. Trairong Phiwphan revealed that this arrest was due to an incident late night on January 30, 2014, such 2 defendants which were the security guards of one company in Pattaya city had used a gun to rob a Family Mart shop at the beginning of Soi Chaipornwithee 15, Moo 1 Tambon Nong Prue, Amphur Banglamung, Chon Buri province, during which they took cash of 3,400 THB and 3 bottles of beer then fled the scene. Later the police went to an incident point and retrieved CCTV footage that recorded the incident of the 2 robbers. Police gathered all evidence and asked for the jurisdiction of Pattaya Provincial Court to issue the arrest warrants.

 

A few days later a detective police team from Nong Prue police station had identified Mr. Danai or Beer escaped and were hiding at his younger sister’s house in Tambon Nong Song Hong, Amphur Mancha Khiri, Khon Kaen province, the police team went to arrest him at his younger sister’s house with all exhibits. For Mr. Pornchai or Phoom, he was arrested at the bus terminal of Khon Kaen province while he was going to see Mr. Danai in order to stay together at a house of Mr. Danai’s younger sister. Upon investigating, both of them confessed that on an incident day Mr. Danai used a gun to rob a convenience store which Mr. Pornchai stood watchfully. Moreover, at the same night they also used a gun to rob Mr. Narai Jankham, aged 35, Cambodian nationality, who was a security guard of Ananya Beach Front condominium which was located in area of Banglamung police station and took away a radio communication and 1 pack of cigarette from Mr. Narai then rode a motorbike to fuel up (add fuel) for 90 THB at one gas station in area of Pattaya city police station but they did not pay for the fuel and also took out a gun to threaten a gas station attendant for not in a lather (outcry / yell loudly). They claimed that because they got heavily drunk so they made such trouble.

 

However, police still do not believe their testimony and think they may be responsible for many other robberies in the area. Any people who think that they may have been robbed by these 2 defendants can come to see their photographs at Nong Prue police station in order to prosecute them additionally further.
